Gemma takes inspiration for her original paintings, prints, and crafts from her work as a conservator and heritage consultant. Over two decades Gemma has worked to conserve, restore and reinstate some of the nations most beautiful and important historic interiors and objects. The combination of this experience and expertise, with her knowledge and skills as a fine artist, are used to create her abstract pieces, which seek portray the beauty and lustre of natural decay, patina, and age.
