A new piece from the Uncovered Series; Uncovered no.18 uses a combination of rich earth colours, vibrant blues and grey, resulting in a warm but subtly moody feeling. This moody, yet lively and energetic piece, conjures thoughts of a decorative surface with many previous lives and stories to tell.

The Uncovered series marks my return to creating original artworks.
Each work within the Uncovered series uses a range of media to recreate the unique textures and surfaces found in historic interiors throughout the UK.
Using artificial ageing techniques combined with methods developed to conserve and restore historic decorative surfaces, I produce original abstract artworks; seeking to portray the beauty and lustre of natural decay, patina, and age.
