Original Paintings, Crafts and Curiosities
Packaging & Shipping Methods
UK
All original artworks will be professionally packaged.
You artwork will be securely packed and shipped via our chosen courier. Tracking information will be provided to the buyer and we will track your work to ensure it has arrived at its new home safely. All paintings will be shipped with insurance up to £1000 (additional insurance coverage beyond £1000 is available upon request and is to be paid by the buyer).
Free Pickup from Exhibiting Gallery or Studio - Alternatively, you may elect to pick up the item in-person. Please select the option “Free Pickup” as your Shipping Method at checkout. We will then contact you directly and arrange a time to meet at the works location.
Everywhere Else
All original artworks will be professionally packaged. Please contact us via info@smartdecarts.com for further information regarding international shipping.
Shipping Costs
UK: Shipping costs start at £5.00 per item for 10” and 12” minis. Shipping costs increase incrementally in relation to the size of the piece. Please see individual items for specific shipping costs.
Everywhere Else: International shipping costs vary enormously depending on the size and style of the piece, usual rates are between £30.00 and £250.00; however, international shipping insurance will increase this cost. Please contact us via info@smartdecarts.com for further information.
Taxes and Customs Feees
For international sales, any taxes, custom duties and fees that may occur in the receiving country are the responsibility of the buyer. If you would like to learn more about the rules in your country, you can contact your local customs authority.
Dispatch Times
All paintings will be dispatched within 5 business days of your order, unless otherwise stated. *Due to current Covid-19 restrictions our usual 5 business day dispatch has increased to a possible 10 business days, we appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
Shipping Times
Artworks shipped within the UK should arrive within 5 business days of dispatch. (*Shipping times may be longer at present due to Covid-19)
International orders may take between 5-15 business days. Depending on your region and the time of year, some artworks may be delayed due to customs and holidays.(*Shipping times may be longer at present due to Covid-19)
Returns
As a formal rule for conducting business with original artworks, all sales through smART Decorative Arts are final. However, if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please contact us directly via info@smartdecarts.com, within 5 days of delivery.
Please note that buyers are responsible for all shipping costs of returning the item.
The artwork must be in the same condition as it arrived and in appropriate packaging–ideally in its original packaging.
For lost or damaged artworks please send a photo of the damage, so that we can learn more about what went wrong with the shipment. You will be fully refunded or can make an exchange if such an event occurs.
